Trina Scott
Board Member
For over twenty years, Trina has committed her professional life working in the area of human sexuality with a specific focus on HIV/AIDS/STI, community level mobilization, behavioral interventions, technical assistance/capacity building, positive youth development and racial/social justice.
Currently, Trina serves as the HIV Community Liaison for Gilead Sciences working in communities in Maryland and West Virginia. She is the former Program Manager at Kaiser Family Foundation, where she worked for 6 years overseeing community partnerships for the Greater Than AIDS campaign. Prior to Kaiser Family Foundation, she was with Advocates for Youth for 10 years where she managed the Health Equity and Youth Empowerment portfolio. She began her career at Whitman Walker as the Volunteer Coordinator, followed by Metro Teen AIDS as a Program Manager.
Trina is also the co-foundress of the Women of Color Sexual Health Network (WOCSHN), a collective membership organization with a focus on the sexual and reproductive needs of women and gender expansive people of color.
Trina is a native of Virginia and North Carolina respectively and moved to Washington, DC in 1995. She is a graduate of Howard University and Univ. of Maryland University College – and loves spending time with family and friends, traveling with her family, singing and finding new recipes to cook up in the kitchen. She resides in Upper Marlboro, MD.
